Tsutaya Bookstore Cambodia Is Now Open
On April 24, Tsutaya Bookstore officially opened its first Cambodian location on the first floor of AEON Mall Phnom Penh (AEON Mall 1). Founded in 1983 in Osaka, Japan, Tsutaya has grown into a well-known cultural and lifestyle brand with over 800 locations across Asia. Now, it’s here, with over 70,000 books, stationery, collectibles, and lifestyle goods in a 1,500 sqm space.
More than just a retail outlet, Tsutaya Bookstore Cambodia reflects ULS’ vision of building places that connect people to culture and community. As a franchise owner, ULS introduced the brand to Cambodia to bring not only a bookstore, but a curated public space where visitors can pause, browse, and learn.
The launch event welcomed over 20,000 visitors, with nearly 5,000 books sold, more than 4,000 gifts purchased, and over 5,000 coffees enjoyed. The presence of H.E. Ueno Atsushi, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, spoke volumes about the cultural significance of the occasion and highlighted the ambition behind Tsutaya Bookstore—to create a meaningful and lasting destination that celebrates creativity, connection, and community.
The store also features a café, a children’s zone, and rotating cultural programs, including author talks, workshops, and creative events.
Open daily from 9 AM to 10 PM.
